I’ve been asked this question very often.
Honestly, I don’t really have a canggih answer.
Money motivates me. Ever since I was a child.
Do I sound shallow?
I could tell you that family motivates me, that pursuing happiness motivates me, that my beliefs and values drive me…
But without funds, can all those things really move?
From a young age, I realised that money solves a lot of problems.
On difficult days (read: hari anjing), when I don’t feel like going to work, I look at my bank account balance.
Then I ask myself: Do you have enough to retire comfortably?
If the answer is no… then that’s my cue to get my a*s up and go to work.
Because nobody is coming to save us.
The only reliable person I can count on… is me.
