Dear Applicants,
I understand that some of us do have a lot of experience. That means we have more to write in our resumes. 2 pages would not be enough. And no, shrinking the fonts to size 8 is not the solution.
Recruiters nowadays are receiving more applications nowadays. So they don’t have much time (nor patience) to read all the 14 pages.
So perhaps we highlight what matters. Our most recent working experience matters. Our achievement in the last 5 years matters. Our knowledge which is relevant to the position we are applying for, matters. So we focus on that.
Be precise but not long winded.
Because when our resume looks super busy (ie too much words), it does turn the recruiters off.
