POV: Interview Red Flags

One big red flag for me is when the hiring manager cannot clearly explain why the position is vacant.

Ask what happened to the previous person.

Also observe how they talk about former employees.

If everybody who left was apparently lazy, problematic, ungrateful and useless, hmmm… maybe the employees were not the common denominator.

And pay attention when the job description keeps changing during the interview.

You applied for Job A, suddenly they are describing Jobs A, B, C, D and half of E for the same salary.

Remember, interviews go both ways.

They’re evaluating you, but you should also evaluate them just as carefully.

All the best with your interview!
