Today we have 22 MYSTEP (Malaysia Short Term Employment Programme) graduates joined us officially as employees.
Like all other employees who joined us, I sent them a personalized message one by one to welcome them to the team.
I think it’s important to personalize messages like that instead of a reply all with a general “Welcome to the team”.
I want to type their name in the welcome message, so I can also learn their names.
I want to email to them personally, so I can build the bond.
I want to personalize, so I can show I do care.
Especially now with people are rarely working from office, we do need to put in that extra effort to connect.
Besides, I doubt they will say hello to me first.
