“Most of the time, people leave their managers, not the company.”
That statement made me reflected for a moment about my resignations. I’ve resigned 4 times before. And now come to think about it, 3 out of 4 times I did left my manager.
Then it got me thinking further, could my manager had done anything different to make me stay? Perhaps.
But did I talk to him about it (coincidentally they all men) before I decided to leave? I actually didn’t. So crucifying them like that is not fair either, I supposed.
I guess, when things doesn’t work out, everybody is accountable after all. The manager, the company and of course, our own self.
