Today is Hari Anjing. Before I am going to ruin more people’s Friday, I have decided to take the rest of the day off to take a break.
For this I am very grateful for having a boss who is so understanding.
And I hope you can be too and work out things with my apprentice, Latha, before you hit my number on your dialpad.

Then on Saturday, I received a message from my handsome Finance Director. He asked, what happened. I told him what happened and he then texted, “Stay positive, Ling!”
Honestly, he can be quite a hard ass to work with/for sometimes. I mean, his kinda’ job does require you to be when one when you’re managing such complicated accounts with millions of transactions, literally, month to month. Not forgetting the many tight deadlines to meet.
But over the years working with him, especially during the pandemic when most of the time it’s just the 2 of us in the office full time consistently unlike most employees, I have learnt that he is also such a sweetheart. He does always care. And always keep an eye on me despite his busy schedules.
So today, I want to express my appreciation to him for being such an uplifting friend, be it during working hours or after.
A platonic relationship goal that is really close to my heart.
