My darling Ain.
An IT fresh graduate who first joined me officially in 2017. She told me though pursuing IT was her goal, since there is no good IT career opportunity, she didn’t mind helping me out with my HR Operations team.
She was then initially tasked with system updates matters & reportings and her IT background definitely came in as an advantage as she managed to fast track her learning with our in-house system and churning reports after reports in MSExcel.
From a temporary staff, her employment status was converted to contract, then eventually permanent and she has not look back since, rising the ranks from an Assistant, to an Executive, to a Senior Executive, to an Assistant Manager she is today.
There is no doubt on Ain’s dedication & ability to adapt. Authentic, Ain is genuine & sincere, always carrying herself with integrity. Customer-focused, she always thrive to do her best to finish the task at hand by putting the extra hours in.
I remember back in December 2018 & again in January 2020, when our expats desk colleague, Rose, was on sabbatical leave for months, we asked her to stretch her role to assist and without hesitation she accepted the challenge, picking up this new skill quickly to ensure business ran as usual. That truly demonstrated her teamwork value in her. Her enthusiasm & high spirit in continuous learning has brought much value to the Service Ops team.
She once said she & IT has not fate and we are glad that she found her fate in us within the HR community.
