Some time back I walked into a MyNews.com outlet to get myself a quick lunch. I grabbed 2 onigiris & 1 bottle of Pokka Oolong tea.
When I was paying for my lunch, the cashier told me with each onigiri I purchased it came with 1 bottle of ice lemon tea for free. And because total bill was above RM10 & I paid with my Touch ‘N Go eWallet, they gave a bottle of Nescafe Latte for free too.
Hmmm…. Buy 3 items, Free 3 items.
I don’t really drink sweet drinks so I gave away the 3 bottles of free drinks to my colleagues. But I did went back to MyNews.com the next day to repeat my purchase.
Yes, it’s easy to cheat my money like that. Because I am your typical consumer who is a sucker for free gifts.
