I remember the first case in my community.
He was a a salesman staying next to my block. Apparently he got the vid from travelling around Klang Valley for work.
A neighbour texted me to inform me and boy, was he angry.
He was calling this neighbour of our names – Idiots, Stupids.
Really? Heh.
Anyways, no longer after that I have a friend contracted the vid.
She told me, the apartment management taped her front door as safety measures, so the neighbours could be aware of her situation.
I was like OMG, how are her neighbours taking it? Will she be harassed? Will she be called names like my poor neighbour?
Phew, no.
On the contrary, everybody was super supportive. Her neighbours and friends brought her food, snacks and wrote lovely get-well-soon messages and left it at her door.
We definitely need more neighbours like the ones in my friend’s neighbourhood.
Regardless, this is the time to support one another.
We need more kindness to go around.
And it all can start with us.
