What a mouthful.
In other words, it’s #Empathy.
The ability to understand another person’s experiences, feelings & perspectives.
Or in more layman terms, putting ourselves in the other person’s shoes.
Over the years, I’ve learnt that being empathic is critical in being an effective leader. More so during this pandemic.
For a moment, we just have to stop thinking about ourselves but the other person. Listen without judgement. Oh it sounds simple but I’ve seen so many leaders fail in it. People tend to forget that it’s okay to be not fucking okay. We need to acknowledge the fact that sometimes, things just get fucked up.
Also not forgetting the golden rule: Thou shalt treat others how you want to be treated.
Do exercise that vicarious introspection inside of us so we can do/be better.
