You know, I am not always this vain.
In fact, I was so sloppy, my previous boss actually wrote on my performance appraisal form, “To improve her grooming”.
It did take me quite some time (and money) to embrace this whole self-love journey.
But once I mastered this narcissism, I found it to be quite a delightful experience. Confidence elevated from here to there. It’s just so nice to hear people complimenting, “You look good, Ling!”
Well, the Irish poet Oscar Wilde said, “To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance.”
Hmmm… I can be quite a romantic one too. So, why not.
I learnt how to pick clothes that accentuate my body. How to match my shoes with my bag. How to pair the perfect earrings to the day’s mood.
And of course, I learnt this too. How to put on my makeup in 7 minutes. Tops.
