I remember the first time we had our 1st close contact. An employee’s partner came back from overseas so we had her quarantined. I followed up personally with her every day to make sure she was okay.
Then, we had an employee who was a close contact in the country’s biggest & longest running cluster – The Sri Petaling Tabligh Cluster. We had the poor guy tested twice together with the whole family to be sure.
Then our 1st positive. Then our 1st cluster in the office. Then death. Then I became positive too.
Every event was a panic event. Because we knew so little about the virus back then with no experience.
We have come a long way, from the pandemic to this endemic era. MCO, EMCO, CMCO back to MCO again.
We have lost people, yes. But it was also very important to celebrate that we had survived.
Just like from the bible, Psalms 30:5, “Weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.”
So, continue to survive, everybody. Move on we must. And move on well.
