I called the bank.
I said, “My sister passed away (but not my sister k) and I want to find out the process & documents the bank requires so we can sort out her affairs with the bank.”
Then we continued the conversation on what is needed and what to do. But when the bank’s Call Center Officer ended the call, she cheerfully said, ‘Thank you for calling xxxx bank, you have a nice day!”
I swear I can hear her smiling.
I know, it probably was a standard script to end the call but don’t you think it’s a bit inappropriate?
When we listen to the customers, we need to listen carefully. Feel the customers feelings so we will be able to respond appropriately. The service industry is so competitive now & we are competing for jobs with AI now. It’s so important we up our service, delivering the great customer experience that is going to be the key differention between us and robots one day.
Anyways, you all have a good weekend now. For those who are in EMCO areas, you be extra safe. It’s not a good time to die, believe me.
