This is Caryn & Clarice. Two of my single (and very available) colleagues from Finance.
Caryn and Clarice sit opposite each other physically in the office. One is an extrovert, the other is an introvert. But together, they are partners in crime.
Caryn is loud & enjoys communicating with people. Clarice is soft & enjoys her quiet time with her laptop. But being in finance, both of them are hardworking and detail-oriented.
When I asked Clarice, what do you think about Caryn, she said, “Caryn is fast and efficient.”
When I asked Caryn, what do you think about Clarice, she said, “Clarice is patient and calm.”
Like all teams, there will be different types of personalities. And it’s not uncommon you find personalities totally opposite with each other like Caryn & Clarice, yet they work so well with each other everyday for they complement each other. What is missing in one is fulfilled by the other one.
They always remind me the famous phrase from John C. Maxwell, “Teamwork makes the dream work.” When you make the choice to collaborate positively to achieve the common goal despite being different, you do can create magic together.
