This is Chew and Nurul who is the Finance Director and Senior Finance Analyst. Both super penting people in the company I am working in.
Both being very good at their jobs i.e. Finance, I asked during lunch, how do they manage their finances at home with their spouses respectively.
Chew, the husband said, “My money is my wife’s money too.”
Nurul, the wife said, “My money is my money.”
LOL! As a wife, I super love the responses!
Joking aside, when we were talking about finance management at home, I realised it doesn’t differ much from work – we need to exercise a lot of trust in one another. We are empowered to make decisions on small purchases but when it comes to big ticket items like house or car, we talk about it and make the decision together.
And integrity, is very important in establishing that trust.
