Which is represented by the color blue in our Jalur Gemilang.
When we design a piece of art, we want to make sure the design creates a sense of cohesion. The colors, lines, space & texture harmonize with one another to enhance the unity of the artwork.
Well, I am not an expert in art, but I do have a lot of experience in designing teams especially at the work place. And how I see it, it’s quite similar to creating a great art piece.
We fit the right people at the right place in the organization to create great teams. People of different races, ages, skills and personalities come together in harmony, complementing each other to march towards the common goal.
There is a lot to say when it comes to unity & harmony at the workplace for it’s the fundamentals of working in a team.
But from my many years of experience, it also has taught me that it’s much easier to preach unity than to practice unity. After all, “Unity to be real must stand the severest strain without breaking,” said Mahatma Gandhi.
And I’ve learnt the tough trick is to respect and to accept. Definitely easier to preach than to practice that one. But I believe that is how we can survive the strain without breaking.
So demi perpaduan, we must respect & accept, no matter how hard. If it makes sense.
