If you ask me, when it comes to hiring, I will prioritize experience first.
Because experience does teach us lessons which textbooks couldn’t. More importantly, it equips us with the soft skills to survive the real world.
However, without the right education, I feel there is only so far one can go. So getting the right education to enhance our knowledge is also very important.
The world is getting so competitive now. Year on year, the population is growing one plus odd percent. In 2002, there were 6.2 billion of us & today we are standing among 8.0 billion of us. So compared to 20 years ago, it does take more effort to standout.
Being good at one thing is no longer good enough.
We need to have the experience and the right education to charge forward, if it make sense.
