So, you want to be in HR Analytics?

In the new world of big data, there’s a rising star in HR that’s making waves – HR Analytics. It’s a sub-discipline that harnesses the power of data and analytics to drive informed decision-making and strategic workforce planning. The role of a HR Analyst is to gather, analyse, and interpret HR data to uncover valuable insights that shape HR strategies and drive organisational success.

But here’s the exciting part – HR Analytics isn’t limited to individuals with a traditional HR background. Professionals from various fields , such as statistics, data/social science, and business intelligence, can transition into this role. Your skills and knowledge in interpreting complex data and spoting trends/patterns can be invaluable in this field.

I know, not all jobs advertised as HR Analysts are truly focused on HR Analytics. Some may be more of a call centre role, providing HR services to employees. However, I still believe that it can be a stepping stone, opening doors to other strategic HR roles like HR Analytics.

So, to all the aspiring HR Analytics out there, I wish you the best of luck on your journey. May you unlock the power of data and shape strategic HR decisions towards the future of work.

Remember, numbers tell stories and insights fuel innovation.
