The industry is a small world after all I always say.
People know people.
Words do get around.
Like the workforce industry that I am in currently. After 17 years, I do know quite fair bit of people in it. And it’s the same a fair bit of people do know me too. So I do get random calls from hiring managers who ask me about our previous/existing employees even they did not give my name as a referee.
That is also why I am an advocate of not burning bridges. You will never know who they will call to ask about you.
You peeps have a safe weekend now. If you have not registered for vaccination yet, I highly recommend you do. And of course, continue to stay home as much as you can.
