If Sunday is your Rest Day, then the following day will be your rest day replacement, so your Monday blues will be postponed to Tuesday black blues.
If Sunday is your Off Day (ie 6th instead of 7th day of your work week), depending on your company policy, most don’t replace the Off Day. So, most likely, business as usual for you.
If Sunday is your Normal Working Day, it’s a Public Holiday for you (if Diwali is a gazetted Public Holiday) with no replacement leave the next day. If you are required to work, then the company should compensate you accordingly.
Now, if you are a government servant AND your Rest Day is a Sunday, since 2018, the government has agreed to give its Hindu staff (not Indian) additional one-day unrecorded leave to celebrate Diwali. So Tuesday is going to be the replacement of the unrecorded leave of the replacement leave.
