Dear HR Practitioners,
As we step into the bright dawn of 2024, I can’t help but feel an aunty-like pride swelling in my heart for each one of you. Today, as you embark on yet another year of this incredible HR journey, one that is going to be filled with Hari Anjings, I want to share some words with you.
First, never forget the magic you hold in your hands. Each day, you weave the delicate fabric of our workplace, stitching together diverse personalities with the thread of understanding and empathy. Remember, your role is not just a job, it’s a calling.
Cherish the employees like they’re your own. Guide them, support them, and sometimes give them that gentle nudge towards greatness. And remember to reply to your emails, messages, and queries because when an employee has a HR concern, it gets them jittery, and that is not going to be very productive for the organisation.
This year, let your heart continue to guide you. Listen to it as you would to an old, wise friend. When in doubt, remember that being fair and kind is never wrong. Be fair to your employees, be fair to your employers. But if you really want to be a good HR professional, always remember, the employee always comes first.
Let’s make 2024 a year where our workplaces buzz with harmony, productivity, and laughter. A year where every HR practitioner stands tall, proud of the difference we make. Let’s be the kind of HR that not only leads, but also loves.
