In many of my videos, I attract a group of people whom I seem to rub the wrong way. They leave comments like…
“If all HR think like you, the company will sure be bankrupt.”
“You think HR is very big isit?”
“You know what you talking about or not? Always talk crap.”
I wonder, do they ever pause to think about the impression they’re leaving behind?
I, for one, would never want to work with someone who lacks positivity, empathy, and basic manners. Comments like these reveal more about the person writing them than the one receiving them.
So, take a moment and pause. Read back your own comments. If someone who doesn’t know you were to read them, what would they think about you? Honestly, I’ve noticed patterns in some people just by analysing their comments. It’s surprising how much you can reveal about yourself without realising it.
Is this how you want others to perceive you?
I’ve made that mistake before, letting bitterness take over, and I became someone I didn’t like. It’s a lesson I’ve learned the hard way.
Now, I live by this rule: If I don’t have anything nice to say, I’ll say nothing at all.
