1️⃣ Reprimand privately, praise loudly. Nobody likes public humiliation, but everyone loves a little public applause.
2️⃣ Learn people’s names – ALL of them. Even the tea lady and the intern. A little respect goes a long way.
3️⃣ Email like a professional, but WhatsApp like a human. One is for clarity, the other for personality. Don’t mix them up.
4️⃣ Don’t hoard information. Sharing knowledge makes you indispensable, not replaceable.
5️⃣ Never say, “That’s not my job.” Say, “Let me see how I can help” instead (and still know your boundaries).
6️⃣ Respect people’s time off. They’re not being paid to reply to your emails at 11pm.
7️⃣ Say good morning, even if you’re not a morning person. It’s free, and it sets the tone for the day.
Unsolicited, yes. But if you follow even half of these, the workplace might just be a little more harmonious.
