My mum told me this – “If you know how to use money, then you will know how to find money.”
I’ve decided to take her advice & learn how to use money and there is no other better way to learn that by shopping! Every time I went out, I told myself, just go buy something, anything. And to my delight, I quite enjoyed the process of buying things. Eventually, I graduated to online shopping. I still remember the first thing I bought online was from Groupon – a digital weighing scale for RM38 (which I am still using today).
The more I shopped, the happier I got (retail therapy is very real). The bank account also became emptier – and that is when my mother’s teachings kicked in. I have to work so hard now to hustle for money to feed my new shopping addiction.
So I can continue to buy, buy, buy.
