Aaaahhhh… don’t you just miss network in events? I remember in my early years, one of my first networking events that I had attended were MEF monthly meetings in Shah Alam. I remember there were always food, drinks and great conversations with other HR practitioners.
Like most of you guys, since the pandemic, I have not been in an actual networking event that doesn’t involve talking to a monitor for the longest time.
That is why I was so excited when I attended Choobub’s party today. It was really nice to be in an event space again, to walk among people with a drink in your hand. Listening to the noises of different groups of people having conversations in their circles. It was like…. ahhhh… I so miss this!
I guess in that sense, I am still the very old-fashioned Asian. It’s somehow different. Meeting each other in person to build relationships rather through the screen. And having actual face to face conversations with strangers, getting to know each other’s businesses. Conversations are also funnier and the sound of laughter is filled with joy.
Ah yes, I do miss networking events.
