I am always very busy. So whatever work I can delegate, I do.
One of them is distributing company letters like incentive payouts & confirmation letters. I will sign the letters and get my HR folks to send the letter on behalf to my team members.
Then there was this year, the company was generous and gave most of us a surprise bonus payout. This time, I decided to send the letters out myself individually to surprise my team. I emailed the letters to them one by one with a personalised message, thanking them personally their contributions to the company.
And I remember the replies I received from them.
They were all very, very touching messages that moved me to tears. That fuzzy heart-warming feeling just felt so comforting & joyful. I can literally feel all the endorphins & oxytocin filling me up inside, magnifying the experience.
It was such a wonderful experience indeed.
So wonderful that I never delegate the job of sending letters on behalf anymore.
