I was chatting with Aunty Sheila today.
Everyday, I update my stories with my #OOTD and she will send me a simple message like “Wow”, “You look nice”, “Keep it up!”. Very uplifting.
I was telling her how much I appreciate her encouragement for I also received messages saying that I was “inappropriate”. Like that signature red streak I had for years. Or that little crown I bought recently I wore to work. I need to look more like a “director” apparently. I was like, what does a director really look like, anyways?
Anyways, she then told me, “People will always have something to say.”
LOL! It’s so funny and so true at the same time. Ada saje orang yang nak kutuk, kan?
She then continued, “Talking thru experience. I sudah makan asam, garam, pahit, manis all. I know how people are… But I am not bothered by them. I live for the time given and make the best of it. That’s why I like what you’re doing. Live your best. Who cares about people’s opinions.”
Very, very wise words.
Live for the time given. Make the best out of it. By living my best.
