Joking aside, I must say I have a very, very understanding & caring boss.
When I was going through my mid-life crisis in 2017, I remember I called him one Tuesday evening. After 6 shots of Vodka & feeling super emotional. I was crying, I told him I don’t think I can go to work tomorrow & want to take the day off. He said, “Can, can, can. Let me know too if you need anything.”
When I was hospitalized for pneumonia November last year, my HR Manager told me he came to the office & gave stern instructions to the team, “All payment approvals, documents to be signed and escalations, all direct to me. Do not disturb Ling.”
When I had Covid few months back, he constantly checked on me daily and chased me to take more rest.
When I have crazy ideas, not only he supports me, he will get crazy with me together too, texting each other at 12 midnight hehe…
When we fight (oh we can really fight), we always remember to say sorry and move forth.
We learn from each other. We lean on each other. We lead each other.
We never need to say please to each other. But we always thank & bless each other.
And the best is, we always can laugh at/about/with each other.
