Which are represented by the colour white in our Jalur Gemilang.
The whole day today I was thinking (am still actually) how I can express my opinion about these 2 values. Because honestly (no pun intended), I am an honest person but when it comes to being noble, perhaps not so much.
So I questioned, do you need to be honest to be noble? Or do you need to be noble to be honest? It kept on spinning in my head.
Then, I succumbed to google and I found this sentence which said, “Honesty is a noble virtue.”
Now, that makes sense.
Noble means that you show fine personal qualities. And staying true to yourself, being honest of who you really are, is definitely a fine personal quality. Living an authentic life does bring more meaning after all, hence will naturally lead towards to the path of nobility.
Just like how Winston Churchill said it, right? “The first step is, to be honest, and then to be noble.”
Aaahhh… so I guess I am on the right path towards nobility then. Work in Progress. You?
