Hello, meet Ju Lin. Who is my latest lunch buddy.
I first know her from LinkedIn. Like most friendships, it was a progressive one. She started reading my posts, reacted, commented. Then we exchanged messages then numbers then we went out for lunch. Then coffee, then lunch again and again.
Today, I was feeling a bit depressed after reading all of those unwanted comments on my postings last night. And when she texted me today, “Wanna lunch?” I was like, “Yes, please!”
During lunch I was telling her, sometimes I do wonder if it’s all worth it. The stress that comes with all these ‘glamour’. She then told me, “Well, it’s all part and parcel of being out there.” As I was listening to her comforting me, I realised she was also part and parcel of the blessings of me being out here.
Such blessings indeed to have a friend like her to come cheer up my day. Perhaps, I should really try to focus on my 3/4 full glass instead of the 1/4 empty glass, right? Trying, trying.
Happy weekend everybody. It’s date night again. This is also part & parcel of having me as a partner. Even after being years together, we do expect each other to put in the effort to keep the romance alive. Because it’s also part & parcel of a healthy relationship.

Your HR doesn’t sound very competent, honestly. It’s the same. Unless you are working in Sabah & Sarawak, then it’s still 48.
