Hello. This is Wai Hoong.
Who knows I love to eat panmee and will ajak me to go eat lunch. During lunch I found out that he is an avid fan of the Japanese sports manga series, Slam Dunk. I also found out that he has an interest in cooking and educated me what Pappardelle is.
Wai Hoong is also a big introvert. And he does his job well as a recruiter. Hmmm… come to think about it, some of the best people I work with in this people business are introverts.
Anyways, Wai Hoong is no longer with us already because he decided to pursue a different path in his career. On his last day, he sent me pictures that has taken with his candidates that he has placed on site. He told me that he was feeling a bit emotional that day.
Of course he did. It’s always never easy to say goodbye especially when you know you had made a difference to the place. That is the best part of the job as a recruiter, you know, knowing that you can make a difference in someone’s career.
