This is Darren. Who is an ex-colleague from more than 10 years ago.
When we were working in the same company, we were not really that close, so we rarely exchanged any word. When he left, lagi-lah we never talk to each other. But… since I have been super active on social media for the past few years, we have been interacting with each other actively with our Facebook posts. Eventually, he decided to ajak me to go out makan and that is how we rekindled our relationship.
In fact, Darren was not the only one. I remember when I was active posting about my weight loss journey, a lot of ex-classmates whom I barely talked to me back in school, also sent me messages of encouragements. And we started to catch up with each other on what’s happening in our lives. Some of them I have not even spoken with for decades!
It’s just so nice, you know. Rekindling. So thank you, my friends, for saying hello first to me again.
Anyways, happy long weekend, everybody. Last day of Chinese New Year is this Sunday and I am looking forward to the last leg of firework blasts!
