When you tender your resignation, it’s not uncommon that your boss will counter offer. Then you will be at the crossroad, “Shall I stay or shall I go?”
Well, the next question you should ask yourself is, “Can you trust your boss?”
So think back. Was your boss’s track record consistently positive? Has he/she demonstrated that he/she is trustworthy in the past? Has he/she kept their promises and followed through on commitments?
If your answer is no, no and no, oh please. Go sign your new offer letter and get out of there. Quickly.
