It’s been another year, I’ve been on the grind,
Working hard every day, trying to stay aligned,
But today’s a special day, a day to believe,
A work anniversary leave, time to finally breathe.
So I’ll take a break like Van Gogh,
And find some peace like Marilyn Monroe,
I’ll stand back, relax, enjoy the view,
This work anniversary leave, it’s long overdue.
Sometimes we need to remember why we work,
To make life better? To find our own worth?
And in the moments of rest and reflection,
We find the drive to keep going, the right direction.
So here’s to seven years of hard work and dedication,
To the struggles and successes that led to this celebration,
As I move forward on this journey I’ll keep in mind,
The lessons in the past, and the dreams that still unwind.
