Happened on my first permanent job itself. I was a sales executive, selling AV solutions at a local SME.
I think I was only around 1 month into the job, I contracted conjunctivitis. I went to see a GP & doc gave me 2 days MC. He told me not to be near anyone to avoid infecting others for it’s highly contagious.
On the 3rd day, I went back to the office and my eyes were still watery & reddish. I remember my boss saw me and took 2 steps backwards and told me, “You shouldn’t be here.”
So, I went to see the doctor again and this time I decided to see a specialist instead. She took a needle, pierced it into my eyes and gave me a tissue to wipe off the tears. I remember seeing blood on the tissue.
Poked left. Poked right. It was quick and it was painless.
There was an instant relief after she poked my eyes. The redness came down and all was good! And I went back to work right after.
