Hello. My name is Ling and I have been unemployed for 6 weeks (by choice).
At first, the luxury of freedom was fun. I could do whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted. However, I quickly realised that the switch from a structured 9-6 job to becoming a one-woman show threw my body clock completely out of sync.
Life as a budding HR Influencer is so chaotic. Every day involves a jumble of tasks – planning content, engaging with Live viewers and followers, managing multiple projects and learning new things about influencer marketing.
It’s exhiliriating. It’s liberating. And it’s also downright scary.
Just 2 days ago, I found myself paying my bills from my savings for the first time in 20 years. The sudden surge of financial uncertainty sent shivers down my spine.
Yet, amidst the chaos and uncertainty, I remind myself – this is my journey, my project, my transformation.
My choice.
So I guess I just have to keep hustling, keep creating and keep reminding myself that I am my biggest project ever.
