Hack #1: Use action verbs to start each bullet point. Action verbs make our achievements stand out, painting a vivid picture of our capabilities and contributions. Example, instead of “Was responsible for leading a team,” use “Lead a 5-person team…”
Hack #2: Tailor our resume for each job application, using keywords from the job description. Using keywords from the job description increases our chances of passing through ATS (Applicant Tracking System) and shows potential employers we’ve paid attention to their needs. Example, highlight terms like “project management” if they’re emphasized in the job ad.
Hack #3: Limit our resume to 2-pages (paling-paling also 4 only), focusing on our most recent and relevant experiences. Hiring managers often skim resumes quickly. A concise resume ensure they see our most pertinent and impactful achievements without getting lost in excessive details. Example, prioritize recent roles that align with the job we’re applying for.
Remember, the art of job seeking is ever-evolving, but the foundation remains the same – presenting the best version of ourselves. Refine our approach and let our true potential shine through. Always believe that opportunities are waiting just around the corner for those who persevere.
Best of luck in your job hunting journey!
