As we celebrate Malaysia’s 67th Independence Day, I find myself reflecting on the true meaning of independence.
1. Not being micromanaged by my boss until I can’t breathe.
2. Having the freedom to speak up without fearing repercussions.
3. Choosing flexible working arrangements that suit my lifestyle.
4. Making decisions without constant oversight (this one I memang sangat pantang)!
5. Expressing creative ideas freely without censorship.
6. Deciding on projects that align with my strengths.
7. Experimenting without the fear of failure.
8. Taking time off for pleasure without guilt or pressure.
Selamat Hari Merdeka, everybody! Remember, you are free to chart your course and have a responsibility to ensure it’s a path of progress and unity.
