EQ, short for Emotional Quotient, refers to the measurable aspect of Emotional Intelligence.
It measures our ability to recognise, understand, and regulate emotions, in ourselves and in others.
Having high EQ doesn’t mean we’re always calm or nice.
But it means we know what we’re note and we can course-correct before chaos starts.
Out of curiosity, I did a few online EQ test:
🧠 123test EQ Test: https://www.123test.com/emotional-intelligence-test
🧠 Truity EQ Test: https://www.truity.com/test/eq-emotional-intelligence-test
🧠 Institute for Health and Human Potential (IHHP) EQ Quiz: https://ihhp.com/free-eq-quiz
I noticed they all asked similar questions:
“Do you react before thinking?”
“Can you stay calm under pressure?”
“Do you notice when someone’s uncomfortable?”
So even without a numerical score, I got a clear idea of what I need to work on.
Maybe that’s the real lesson – self-awareness.
Try it! Take the free EQ tests and find out more about your own emotional state.
In the workplace, EQ often predicts leadership better than than IQ.
Because no one wants to follow a genius who’s emotionally tone-deaf.
Think about it. 😏
