Yes, accountability felt like a hot potato.
Everybody touched it, but nobody wanted to hold it.
This is a true story that happened to me recently.
Employee blamed Boss, “Never give clear instructions. Everything also urgent, then change mind pulak!”
Boss blamed HR, “Why you hire this kind of people? Cannot even do a simple thing yet so calculative!”
HR blamed Finance, “No budget. How to hire good people? How to train? How to retain?”
Finance blamed Management, “Management cutting cost. Everything also want cheap.”
Management blamed Market, “Market very bad now. You think business easy ah?”
Market blamed Employees, “Your service so bad. That’s why customers don’t come back.”
So a meeting was called.
And one smart alec said, “Let’s open a WhatsApp group to align communications and solve this.”
