POV: Remote Work

Hot take: Remote work didn’t kill productivity. Bad management did.

Many bosses blame remote work because they can no longer see people sitting at their desks.

But you see, visibility, was never about productivity.

If a team only performs when the boss is physically watching them, then perhaps the problem is not remote work.

Is it unclear expectations? Poor communication? Lack of accountability?

Or simply weak trust between managers and employees?

The truth is, remote work exposed management practices that were already broken.

Good managers always know what needs to be delivered.

And they build healthy teams that understand what success looks like, what is expected out of them and when to ask for help.

Because productivity was never about where people work.

It’s about whether they know what needs to be done and trusted to get it done.

Think about it.
