I have worked with many leaders throughout my corporate career.
Some leaders, when something happens, kelam-kabut baru nak react to fix the issue.
Then there are leaders who can see the disaster brewing from a mile away… and proactively do something about it.
And I think organisations should approach employee wellbeing the same way.
Bosses, remember… poor health doesn’t just affect your employees.
It also affects productivity and eventually the sustainability of your business.
So, don’t wait until people are burnt out before taking action.
Be smarter. Invest in prevention because it’s always easier than trying to fix the problem later.
And that’s probably why one employee benefit I genuinely appreciated during my corporate days was AIA Vitality. Contoh.
It encouraged me to build healthier habits like walking more and eating better. And of course, the rewards memang so nice, okay!
Looking back, AIA Vitality was probably one of the few employee benefits that actually influenced my everyday behaviour.
And I was quite lucky my previous employer invested in it for us.
To me, that’s what prevention should look like.
Less damage control. More actual control
Be proactive, instead of reactive.
You think about it.
