Aaahhhhh… The hit show right now in Netflix. 456 players come together to play & compete in kiddy games to win 45.6 billion won. The catch, if you lose, you die.
(Warning spoilers ahead!)
There was one game they had to play in a team that requires physical strength & there was this team who seemed to be frailer than the others. But one of the players said it’s not always the strongest who will win. To win, you need a good strategy & combine with good teamwork. How true! Brains over brawns.
The first strategy he shared was it is very important to elect a good leader. The leader will be at the forefront to give directions & the team to follow his lead. Super important is that the leader needs to be confident for if opposing teams sense the leader is weak, it will be game over. As he was saying all that, I heard myself echoing, damn right you are! Every single word.
Leaders are in place to lead teams to executive businesses’ visions & missions. As leaders, if we are not confident with the business, the consequences will be dire for leaders set the tone for the team. Competitors sense poor leadership make their move to attack where it’s the most vulnerable. When that happens & if we are not ready to defend, business will be lost resulting a revenue decline. That, is very bad news.
Confidence is a truly a very important foundation of leadership. It enables leaders to make courageous decisions & deliver effective communications to the team to inspire & motivate. And most importantly, confident leaders lead winning teams & if we do not want to die, we want to be in that winning team. Period.
