This morning I sat down and plotted my career progression in this graph. From the day I started my first permanent job and the years following after.
As I was plotting, as expected there were ups and downs. I was promoted. I was demoted. There are years my career was stagnant, not going anywhere.
However I came to realization one thing – that it didn’t matter what happened, I just kept on going. Even when I was at a low point in my career.
I think it’s okay sometimes we take a step back, to gather ourselves again.
If we work hard enough, when the next opportunity comes, we will be more than ready to take that 2 steps forward to be at a higher place.
