#Improve

You know what is hard to bounce back from? A PIP (Performance Improvement Plan).

Why? Because a lot of time the manager’s intention of PIP is not right – the focus is not to Improve but to Remove – big problem that.

But over my years of experience, it’s not all gloom & doom. I do see people surviving PIPs including myself. We just need to get it into our head – we must improve, we must improve, we must improve!!!

During the PIP session, negotiate:

1. For more training and assistance,

2. An achievable target/goal,

3. Ample time to improve,

And go for it. Improve!
