Who is my husband, my father & my son. They are some of my favourite boys in my life.
While lunching today, my son asked his stepfather, “Uncle Kit, how is your food?” My husband then answered, “Not bad.” He then frowned & said, “That sounds like a half good.” I laughed for I found that so amusing.
It somehow reminded me when I want to praise a person for their good work, instead of saying, “Your work is not bad”, I should just be saying, “Your work is good.”
Because I can understand a “not bad” compliment does can come across as a sub-par one. That, or you actually didn’t want to compliment the person, but had to ðŸ¤.Â
As innocent as kids are, they do say the darndest thinga that can blow my mind. Like a “not bad” actually means a “half-good” I’ve learnt today 😊.
