Years ago, I read in a magazine’s article about getting in shape. It said go look at yourself naked in a full length mirror.
Whatever it’s going to show, it’s going to motivate you to go workout. It’s true.
I remember when I was a much bigger blob, being naked in front of the mirror. Oh darlings, it was not a pretty sight at all.
Plus the fact my sugar readings were super high, I finally bought myself sports shoes and signed up for bootcamp. That was in 2016.
Yesterday, I wore a more slimming tee to work & my Finance Director told me I looked like I’d lost weight. I replied, “Thank you. Yes, I did.” And walked back to my office smiling.
This morning, I stood naked in front of the mirror again. It was a prettier sight. I felt motivated and after quite a while, I went back on to my treadmill for a good 45 minutes.
It’s like everything we do, you know. Be it if we failed or we succeeded. Whatever we choose to feel, embrace the emotions. Remember the experience. Use it to our advantage. Don’t waste them.
So yes, strip naked and take a good look at ourselves. What do you see? Whatever you choose to see, remember to make it work for you.
As it did for me. Many times and over.
