Today I want to story about my bitter subject again hehe… Here goes.
Last Friday, a bunch of us went for Team Building at Camp5, Sg Wang. We were separated into 5 teams. Each team was to complete 5 station challenges.
Station #1 Climb Relay. We had to complete a climb on a 9m rock wall.
Station #2 Colour Climb. We had to climb all the way to the top of a castle wall using rocks with one color only.
Station #3 Traverse Relay. Now we had to climb rock walls sideway from left to right.
Station #4 Landmines. We had to cross a landmine of rocks, blindfolded. With only verbal instructions from another team member.
Station #5 Beast Obstacles. We had to do a WipeOut thing. Jumping across bars, fences and ran all the way up a 4m slide before sliding down a pole.
All were very physical activities, you bet. But you know what amazed me? There were around 40+ of us. Coincidentally 3 of the oldest were grouped into a team (they all almost touching 50 years old), making their team’s average age the highest.
And you know what? They won. One of them even achieved the highest number of time in traverse relay without assistance. Beat that!
So to all the recruiters out there who say anybody above 40 years old are not as energetic or as physically fit as the younger ones. Think again. Our endurance and our fearlessness can beat you young ones anytime.
