Let’s see… From the top left, anti-clockwise, that is Mei Jun, me, Caryn, Teck Fatt, Latha, Yvonne, Wei Leng and Shangari. With the exception of Teck Fatt from the project team, all of us are from the local & regional HR team. This lunch happened some time ago when the borders first opened up and our regional HR lead, Yvonne, was finally able to travel to Malaysia to visit us.
You know, HR can be complex and during the pandemic, it was at one of the utmost challenging times. There is a wide range of responsibilities that needs to be taken care of like recruitment, employee relations, com & ben, talent development and compliance to local HR laws & regulations. It’s not surprising that it does take a village to make sure all thing are in order when it comes to the people business.
So today, I want to give a shout out to the regional HR team for always supporting us here in Malaysia. Collaborating to ensure the consistency in HR operations and processes, while also addressing local HR needs & requirements. What I love most is working together with them to promote the strong HR brand and reputation, which I believe can ultimately lead to the success of the company’s growth.
And of course, the bright smiles that created a positive and welcoming atmosphere. Just like how HR should be 😁
