#WhenIwas13

I participated in a poetry reciting contest in school and won.

… … …

…. … …

Damn. That’s all I achieved?

Enters Momiji Nishiya, the latest sensation in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic who won the gold medal for the street skateboarding event at the tender age of 13. As of now, she is also the 2nd youngest Olympian who won the gold. The silver medalist, is also another 13-year-old, Rayssa Leal.

Oh, I just love these games where age doesn’t stop you from being successful. Its truly a joy to see kids like Momiji achieving such triumph. And you know what, she has the scars to show she didn’t work any less harder than the adults either.

Do you remember what you had achieved when you were 13?

Happy weekend everyone. Home is the safest place now. So stay home, stay safe and watch the Olympics.
